Overview:
This role supports the technical coordination of assigned construction projects, working in tandem with a Project Manager and reporting to a Sales Manager. Responsibilities include maintaining consistent communication across internal and external stakeholders—such as clients, architects, and vendors—while applying expertise in estimating, scheduling, and design within a design-build project delivery model. The role also incorporates advanced use of BIM tools and other emerging technologies to support project execution.
Location: Costa Mesa, CA
Pay Range:
$38.47 to $57.70 per hour, depending on relevant experience, education, certifications, and job location. Final compensation is determined based on a holistic review of each candidate's qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Draft project documentation including proposals, contracts, memos, and change orders.
- Support development and submission of critical project materials such as RFIs, Submittals, Procurement Logs, and Shop Drawings.
- Coordinate internal and external meetings (e.g., kickoffs, scheduling, BIM coordination).
- Assist with estimating, including takeoffs, bid compilation, vendor quotes, and change orders.
- Monitor on-site job progress, providing hands-on support and resolving installation issues.
- Interpret and communicate technical drawings and specifications.
- Oversee procurement tracking, subcontractor buyouts, and material deliveries.
- Contribute to financial tracking: labor forecasts, invoice reviews, and billing documentation.
- Lead or support project closeout including O&Ms, commissioning, as-builts, and warranties.
- Keep the project team informed of timeline or budget impacts and escalate major concerns.
- Participate in design and value engineering reviews, including planning and technical support.
- Build relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders across teams such as Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, and Legal.
- Perform additional tasks as requested by leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline; mechanical or similar technical background strongly preferred.
- Career progression from entry to senior project engineering roles is performance-based.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
- Familiarity with project and business systems such as JDE, IFS, BidTracer, FastEst, Bluebeam, Box, or Smartsheet is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
- Regular use of computer, telephone, and related office tools while seated.

- Requires close and distance vision for document review and coordination tasks.
Work Schedule:
Full-time, non-exempt position, Monday through Friday. Start and end times may vary between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Standard 8-hour workdays with lunch and breaks; occasional overtime may be required.
Travel:
Periodic travel to and from local job sites or regional offices based on business needs.
