Adecco has partnered with a leading global manufacturer to recruit and hire a Product Manager for their facility in Batesville, AR.
The Product Manager will manage the product planning, marketing, and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle. They will define the gather customer requirements to develop the product vision and work with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to determine product plans, and pricing and positioning strategies.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong financial and business acumen, and experience in Product Management, Marketing and/or Sales.
Key functions include:
Identifying unmet customer needs and growth opportunities and communicating them via the multi-generation product planning process (MGPP).
Leading new product development projects, ensuring that customer requirements are met, and that schedule and financial targets are achieved.
Working with Marketing and Communications Managers to effectively launch new products strongly and successfully while providing clear direction regarding other day-to-day product management tasks.
Managing product portfolio, including marketing budget responsibilities, as assigned.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Gathering and prioritizing customer requirements to support the business objectives and create winning products.
Developing, presenting, and implementing product strategies that are consistent with the company vision.
Ensuring that annual net sales, retail sales, and inventory goals are met for assigned product line(s).
Leading new product development projects and serving as the advocate for the customer; developing and communicating clear product specifications, functionality, capabilities, performance, and accessories.
Working with engineering team to ensure proper design, and test for quality.
Coordinating Voice of the Customer (VOC) activities and other market research required to fully understand customer requirements and drive decisions for assigned product line(s).
Developing product launch plans in collaboration with market managers and marketing communications teams.
Providing internal sales team and channel partners with timely and accurate product information.
Participating in the Sales Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP) process, with primary responsibility for annual sales and inventory projections, as well as model line-up transition planning and execution as appropriate.
Monitoring and analyzing retail sales, distributor order activity, and field inventory position.
Developing content for sales training tools and marketing collateral materials and delivering product sales training.
Monitoring competitive product activity, and developing competitive product analysis.
Collaborating with regional marketing managers, sales team, and finance team to develop product pricing and positioning strategies.
Participating in Product Quality Initiative (PQI) team analysis, action plans, and reports.
Completing other assignments, duties, and tasks as required.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales or Marketing. MBA is a plus.
5+ years’ experience within Product Management, Sales or Marketing.
Experience in product development, positioning, pricing, and managing profit and loss (P&L) statements.
Experience in marketing through a business-to-business dealer system is highly preferred.
Understanding and functional competency of durable whole goods.
Fluent in Microsoft Office suite of products.
Ability to travel 40-50%
