Adecco Search has partnered with a leading global manufacturer to recruit and hire a Product Safety and Compliance Engineer to oversee and direct all regulatory and safety compliance for an assigned product group.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ensuring all products within assigned group meet safety and compliance standards from production through launch and release to market.
Reviewing U.S. and International product safety and regulatory compliance standards to verify that any divisional products meet requirements for the markets they are sold into.
Collaborating, and consulting, with the Legal Department regarding product compliance concerns.
Managing and validating compliance documentation, including certification and risk assessment documents for domestic and international markets.
Working closely with the product development team to guide product design.
Staying up-to-date and providing necessary revisions to current guidelines. Developing new requirements for existing and new products.
Leading safety reviews of all products and providing solutions for any product safety issues.
Overseeing the development of all safety and regulatory material.
Providing support to legal team regarding investigations and claims resolution
Performing other assigned duties as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from ABET accredited university required. (Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical, Engineering Technology or similar. Business Management will be considered).
3+ years of engineering experience, preferably within a Test Environment and with focus on product safety & compliance.
Management/Supervisory experience
Awareness of regulations and industry standards
Familiarity with the design, control and incorporation of compliance strategies
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work remotely/hybrid + travel to sites and meetings locally, domestically and internationally as needed.

Strong Base Salary in the 100k-125k range
