Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Production Supervisor job opportunity located in Saint Louis, MO 63122 zip code.
Shift: Mon – Fri 7am – 3pm
Pay Rate: $25.00 – 30.00/HR (Depending upon experience)
Length: 1 year
Responsibilities:
Must be a representative of management that portrays a professional attitude and is part of, as well as support the St. Louis Management Team.
Will be responsible for the production, safety, housekeeping, quality and problem solving for your assigned department.
Work with other support departments including the tool room, maintenance, quality, and engineering to increase productivity and accomplish plant goals.
Responsible for timekeeping and other HR related task for your employees.
Will facilitate training within the department.
Must be able to maintain employee confidence by portraying high character, intelligence, honesty and dependability.
Must be fair and consistent in enforcing the disciplinary steps per the employee handbook guidelines and client policies.
Prepare and maintain the production schedule for the department.
Be a backup supervisor when needed.
Perform other job duties specific to your department and other tasks that may be assigned.
Must be flexible in work hours.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Ability to work daily and weekend overtime, including overtime on short notice.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
Must be detailed oriented, with a strong desire to learn new things.
Have strong documentation skills.
Strong leadership skills.
Great communication, interpersonal and coaching skills.
Wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) such as: safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, proper gloves, and safety sleeves when required.
Lift and or carry up to 25 pounds.
Occasionally grip with hands, turn, push/pull and bend, along with occasional reaching above shoulder level.
Ability to walk, sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
Must have computer knowledge.
Ability to comprehend and follow both written and verbal instructions.
Effectively communicate information to employees, other supervisors, managers and coworkers.
Ability to maintain regular work attendance, including arriving at work on time and remaining at work until the end of the scheduled workday.
Must have an exceptional work and attendance record.
Be a self-starter with the ability to establish, prioritize, and organize responsibilities and perform well under pressure.
Must be courteous, professional, and positive.
