Job Title: Project Engineer (Construction – Hawaii-Based)

Location: Oahu, HI
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role:
We are actively seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to support field operations, coordination, and planning for major construction projects across the Hawaiian Islands. This position plays a critical role in ensuring on-time, within-budget execution of infrastructure, vertical, and utility projects.

The ideal candidate is an early-to-mid career construction professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a solid understanding of engineering principles, project documentation, and logistics unique to construction in Hawaii.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in planning, scheduling, and resource coordination

  • Generate, track, and manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and change orders

  • Support cost tracking, materials procurement, and schedule updates

  • Review project drawings and specifications to identify scope, risks, and constructability issues

  • Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to meet deadlines

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, meeting minutes, and QA/QC records

  • Ensure work is performed in compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards

  • Participate in site walks, inspections, and project meetings

  • Assist in closeout procedures, punch lists, and turnover packages


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 1–5 years of experience in project engineering, field engineering, or construction coordination (Hawaii-specific experience preferred)

  • Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office

  • Strong knowledge of construction documents, site logistics, and local building codes

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills

  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred

  • Valid Hawaii driver’s license and willingness to travel between job sites on Oahu or other islands



Pay Details: $800,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
