Job Title: Project Engineer (Construction – Hawaii-Based)

About the Role:
We are actively seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to support field operations, coordination, and planning for major construction projects across the Hawaiian Islands. This position plays a critical role in ensuring on-time, within-budget execution of infrastructure, vertical, and utility projects.
The ideal candidate is an early-to-mid career construction professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a solid understanding of engineering principles, project documentation, and logistics unique to construction in Hawaii.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in planning, scheduling, and resource coordination

Generate, track, and manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and change orders

Support cost tracking, materials procurement, and schedule updates

Review project drawings and specifications to identify scope, risks, and constructability issues

Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to meet deadlines

Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, meeting minutes, and QA/QC records

Ensure work is performed in compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards

Participate in site walks, inspections, and project meetings

Assist in closeout procedures, punch lists, and turnover packages
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)

1–5 years of experience in project engineering, field engineering, or construction coordination (Hawaii-specific experience preferred)

Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office

Strong knowledge of construction documents, site logistics, and local building codes

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills

OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred

Valid Hawaii driver’s license and willingness to travel between job sites on Oahu or other islands
Pay Details: $800,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
