A well-established manufacturer in the area, is seeking a Quality Inspector to join their quality control team. This position is responsible for ensuring products meet strict quality and dimensional standards by performing inspections using a variety of measurement tools and techniques.
Location: Rochester, NY
Schedule: 2nd Shift 3:00pm – 11:30pm
Pay: $19/hr
Position Summary:
The Quality Inspector performs detailed visual and dimensional inspections to ensure product conformance with quality requirements. This includes interpreting technical drawings and using various measurement tools to inspect parts for contour, fill, finish, and other specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspections using tools such as CMMs, SmartScopes, micrometers, gauge pins, height gauges, and verniers.
Run established CMM/SmartScope programs and properly fixture parts.
Conduct visual and dimensional checks on first piece, in-process, and finished products.
Complete moisture checks on materials.
Identify and contain non-conforming product.
Communicate non-conformances with Operations in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate inspection documentation and records (manual and electronic).
Work collaboratively with other team members to understand and resolve part quality deviations.
Follow good documentation practices and company quality standards.
Required Skills & Experience:
At least 2 years of hands-on inspection experience preferred.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Experience with CMM, PC-DMIS, or SmartScope systems a plus.
Must be self-motivated and capable of working independently or within a team.
Strong communication and organizational skills.

Pay Details: $19.00 to $20.00 per hour
