Job Title: Quality Inspector I

Overview:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Inspector I to join their growing team. In this role, you'll play a critical part in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring products consistently meet or exceed customer expectations. You’ll apply quality principles, evaluate processes, and help drive continuous improvement in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspections using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and surface plates
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Conduct visual inspections based on customer and internal requirements
Inspect in-process and finished products for quality compliance
Document and report inspection results accurately
Identify, quarantine, and document all non-conforming materials
Generate non-conformance reports and assist in root cause analysis
Monitor equipment performance; report and escalate maintenance needs
Inspect and approve incoming materials when required
Actively participate in team and departmental meetings
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ year of experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment under a QMS
Familiarity with quality and safety standards in manufacturing
Strong understanding of basic math, including fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentages
Ability to interpret graphs and analyze basic statistical data
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with basic computer applications (email, spreadsheets, internet)
