Quality Technician III – Onsite
Salary: $49,920-$54, 080
Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Technician III to support and improve manufacturing processes by applying quality principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and hands-on inspection techniques. This role plays a key part in ensuring products consistently meet or exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Approve products for shipment by verifying documentation and certifications per customer requirements
Apply and interpret basic GD&T concepts
Perform dimensional verification of PPAP and first article parts
Support production by developing and interpreting manufacturing documentation and teaching proper measurement techniques
Conduct inspection of raw materials and manufactured parts at receiving per process standards
Collect, analyze, and present quality metrics
Program and operate FARO and Micro-Vu measurement equipment
Prioritize tasks in the QA lab and attend departmental meetings
Perform internal audits (dimensional, workmanship, and documentation)
Develop and implement calibration procedures to meet ISO standards
Investigate customer complaints and process failures to establish corrective actions
Provide training and support for new quality inspectors and QA team members
Lead or participate in Quality Walk Audits within work center areas
Suggest and execute continuous improvement initiatives
Deliver technical training and development for QA employees
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years in quality inspection, ideally in a metal fabrication environment with continuous improvement practices
Proficient in reading/creating documentation, presenting findings, and communicating in both individual and group settings
Strong math skills (fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, basic algebra)
Comfortable using MS Office, spreadsheets, email, and internet research
Certified Quality Technician preferred
Experience programming FARO and Micro-Vu is highly desirable
