Restoration Technician – Job Summary
The Restoration Technician performs restoration processes to support the service needs of various projects and ensures the professional appearance of equipment and assigned service vehicles. By providing quality, consistent, and efficient work, the Restoration Technician represents the highest standards in the cleanup and restoration industry.
Primary Responsibilities
Inventory and load the work vehicle with equipment, products, and supplies needed for each project
Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and professional equipment appearance
Prepare rooms/areas for work activities, including staging areas and equipment setup
Perform restoration processes as directed by supervisors or project leads
Follow all safety and risk management guidelines at all times
Maintain communication with supervisors and team members to ensure efficient operations
Complete end-of-day and end-of-job cleanup and breakdown activities
Leave jobsite with a clean and orderly appearance
Maintain an organized warehouse; clean and upkeep the warehouse, office, and grounds as assigned
Continue developing knowledge of restoration techniques, products, and equipment
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by employer
Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or GED preferred
IICRC certifications preferred
Experience in cleaning, restoration, or construction preferred
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Strong oral communication skills
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
Regularly lift 50 pounds independently; occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance
Long periods of walking, standing, climbing ladders, and working at ceiling heights or in tight spaces
Repetitive physical motions including pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying
Work with and around various cleaning agents and chemicals
Exposure to airborne particles, fumes, extreme conditions such as heat, and noxious odors
Worksites may be noisy; occasional use of respirators may be required for safety
Work Schedule and Travel Requirements
Full-time position: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (40 hours/week)
Frequently requires long hours beyond the regular workday, including evenings and some weekends
Travel required, primarily local, with occasional out-of-area and overnight travel expected
Pay Details: $18.00 to $21.00 per hour
