Our client is seeking an RMA Mechanical Specialist for their facility located in San Jose, CA. This role plays a critical part in managing and developing processes and test capacity for various contract manufacturing projects.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Monitor and maintain testing station performance

  • Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of test equipment

  • Load and unload PCBA onto test fixtures

  • Soldering experience required

  • Scan units into test software

  • Assist Test Engineers and Engineering Technicians with test station setup and related processes

  • Maintain a clean work environment according to 5S standards

  • Load and unload PCBA into Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) systems

  • Segregate RMAs by program type to minimize changeovers

  • Use red indicator arrows to mark failures detected at AOI

  • Support inventory accuracy through monitoring and cycle counts

  • Ensure proper material storage and warehouse organization strategies

  • Participate in receiving, unloading, and inspecting shipments for damage

  • Operate various types of warehouse equipment

  • Complete receiving, discrepancy, and follow-up reports

  • Operate computers and assigned software to input data and generate reports

  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements & Mental Demands:

  • Work efficiently with team members to meet project deadlines

  • Medium physical effort; must handle objects up to 30 lbs

  • Walking, standing, and repetitive bending required throughout the day

  • Ensure careful handling of fragile PCBAs to prevent damage

Education & Ideal Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED strongly preferred (relevant experience will be considered)

  • Ability to read tape measures, work instructions, and technical documentation

  • Must follow safety protocols and wear PPE correctly

  • IPC Certification required



Pay Details: $26.00 to $28.00 per hour
