A well-established and continuously growing grocery retail company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its corporate accounting team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a stable organization with deep roots in the community and an exciting path forward.
As a Senior Accountant, you’ll play a key role in the month-end close process, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This is a fully on-site position based in Carson, CA, offering hands-on involvement in a dynamic accounting environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries; reconcile general ledger accounts (Cash, A/R, Accruals, Prepaids)
Maintain lease accounting schedules in compliance with ASC 842
Generate monthly internal financial reporting packages for operations and leadership
File sales and use tax returns and manage applicable accruals
Reconcile e-commerce transactions and ensure accurate A/R activity
Support quarterly reviews, year-end audits, and related reporting
Track license and permit renewals to ensure regulatory compliance
Assist with SOP documentation and support cross-training efforts
What We’re Looking For
Strong technical accounting knowledge with working proficiency in US GAAP
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF Statements)
Experience with Oracle Fusion or other ERP systems a plus
Independent, proactive, and able to manage priorities in a fast-paced setting
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or public accounting experience a plus
3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, especially in month-end close processes

Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
