Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Quality Manager to lead quality assurance efforts in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for setting the strategic direction for quality systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer standards, and fostering a culture of zero defects, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who combines strong technical expertise with a proven ability to influence change and achieve operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality policies, procedures, and strategic objectives to meet business, customer, and regulatory requirements.

  • Lead the quality team with direction, mentorship, and accountability to drive Zero Defect strategies and company-wide quality goals.

  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership on business-critical initiatives, process optimization, and performance improvements.

  • Act as a liaison with customers, vendors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all quality standards and requirements.

  • Build and lead a high-performing quality assurance team by recruiting, organizing, and developing talent in a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Champion quality training programs that reinforce a culture of “Safety First, Quality Always.”

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations to minimize business and personnel risk.

  • Lead investigations of quality issues, applying structured Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies to drive sustainable preventive solutions.

  • Analyze production quality data and discrepancies, and prepare detailed reports and recommendations.

  • Oversee implementation and maintenance of quality management systems including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, and ISO 45001.

  • Lead audits and ensure ongoing certification of QMS standards, both internal and external.

  • Utilize tools such as PFMEA, control plans, SPC, and Kaizen to enhance process and product quality.

  • Coordinate and influence cross-functional teams and matrix resources to accomplish goals and deploy strategic initiatives.

  • Translate technical quality standards into practical applications across production and engineering teams.

  • Drive a hands-on approach to solving technical issues and align tactical execution with strategic quality vision.

  • Advocate for innovative quality practices that enhance efficiency, reduce cost, and support factory floor operations.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed in support of quality and organizational goals.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Mechanical) required; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in contract electronics manufacturing across Quality, Engineering, or Operations.

  • At least 5 years in a Quality Manager or senior-level quality leadership role.

  • Deep expertise in best-in-class manufacturing practices, Zero Defect tools, and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Demonstrated experience with AS9145, APQP, and PPAP implementation across internal and supplier processes.

  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949 standards.

  • ASQ certifications such as CMQ/OE or CQE required.

  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification strongly preferred.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills; must be able to influence across all levels and cultural backgrounds.

  • Must be capable of working in a physically active environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking for extended periods.



Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
