Our client designs and builds high-end custom automation systems for some of the world’s most innovative companies. They specialize in automated processing, mixing, blending, and assembly lines across industries like food, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and defense/aerospace.
We are partnering with our client to hire a Service Engineer to support our rapidly expanding U.S. client base. If you have a strong background in PLC troubleshooting, enjoy working hands-on with custom machinery, and like solving problems directly with customers—you’ll thrive here.
What You’ll Be Doing
Travel to client sites (~2 weeks/month) to install, commission, and support our client’s customized systems
Work closely with customers and project teams to solve problems, optimize performance, and support smooth equipment handoffs
Troubleshoot PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.), read ladder logic, and identify mechanical issues (no PLC coding required)
Handle blending, packaging, and material handling systems used in food, pharma, and aerospace environments
Collaborate with engineering teams in India and U.S. project/sales leads for system escalations
Learn on the job—every solution is custom, and you’ll pick up new tools and skills from the field
Provide basic operator training and submit service reports and client feedback
Must-Have Qualifications
✅ 3–4 years of hands-on experience with industrial automation or capital equipment
✅ Strong familiarity with PLCs, especially reading/debugging ladder logic
✅ Solid mechanical skills (able to adjust/fix actuators, motors, cylinders, belts, etc.)
✅ Previous customer-facing experience—you know how to communicate clearly on-site
✅ Associate’s degree from a technical or trade school (no 4-year degree required)
✅ Comfortable with 50–60% travel, including overnight stays
✅ Based in the Northeast U.S. and authorized to work in the U.S.
Nice-to-Haves
Background in systems used in mixing, processing, or defense/aerospace
Familiarity with HMI systems, pneumatics, sensors, or robotics
Experience with international collaboration (especially India-based teams)
