Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Associate
Pay Rate: $18.00 – $19.00 per hour
Job Type: Temp to Hire – Full time
Location: Londonderry, NH
Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our operations team. This role is responsible for inspecting incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing units for delivery, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring efficient and organized shipping and receiving processes. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and capable of performing safety-sensitive functions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Including but not limited to:
Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments and verify contents against documentation (e.g., manifest, shipping orders)
Record shipping and receiving data accurately in company systems
Pack, seal, label, and prepare units for shipment
Route materials to appropriate departments using hand trucks or sorting bins
Requisition and store shipping supplies to maintain inventory levels
Determine optimal shipping methods, routes, and rates
Analyze shipping information to make informed routing decisions
Deliver and distribute items within facility or to external locations as needed
Create and maintain shipping documentation including work orders, purchase orders, and 8130 work packages
Operate shipping software and generate bill of ladings (FedEx, DHL, UPS, Old Dominion, etc.)
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping and receiving area
Palletize, shrink-wrap, and schedule shipments, including scrap material
Resolve shipping issues such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance by coordinating with suppliers or internal departments
Maintain physical and digital records of all shipping and receiving activity
Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment

Basic computer skills and experience with shipping systems (e.g., FedEx, UPS platforms)
Experience with ERP or warehouse systems (e.g., Quantum) preferred
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand, walk, and use hands and arms regularly
Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
