Job Title: Short-Order Cook
Location: Rock Springs WY
August 15th – September 28th
Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced and reliable Short-Order Cooks to prepare and serve high-quality food in a fast-paced, high-volume event setting. Candidates should be skilled at working quickly and efficiently while maintaining food safety and presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of short-order items such as burgers, sandwiches, tacos, breakfast items, etc.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Operate grills, fryers, ovens, and other kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Maintain a clean and organized work station
- Ensure food is prepared according to specific orders and served in a timely manner
- Communicate with servers, runners, and event coordinators as needed
- Assist with setup, restocking, and cleanup
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a short-order cook or in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Food Handler’s Permit (if required by state/local law)
- Must be punctual, reliable, and professional
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Comfortable working in a hot kitchen environment
Pay Details: $16.00 per hour
