Adecco Creative and Marketing is searching for a full-time, permanent Technical Designer for a fast-growing active, intimates and loungewear apparel company in New York, New York!
This is a fully on-site role; 5 days a week.
In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the technical aspects of our products, ensuring precision and consistency in fit, patterns, and specifications. If you thrive in a collaborative, innovative environment, this is an opportunity to make a significant impact.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish and maintain consistent fit standards across each brand, ensuring that every product aligns with our vision and customer expectations.
Creating and upholding comprehensive specs and grading guidelines for all product categories within our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
Responsible for all pattern corrections, refining and enhancing them to achieve the desired product outcomes.
Collaborating closely with factories and team members, you will impart your fit DNA expertise, ensuring that everyone understands and adheres to our brand's fit standards. Your role also includes training and mentoring team members.
Work effectively with numbers and shapes will be essential, as you analyze and interpret data to ensure precise fit and pattern adjustments.
Possessing a keen eye for product aesthetics, fit, and shapes, you will contribute valuable insights to enhance product design and execution.
Profound understanding of mathematics and the intricate relationship between fit alterations, patterns, and specifications will be crucial in your role.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
Experience working within a brand environment and translating its essence into technical design elements is a key requirement.
7+ years of hands-on experience in technical design, demonstrating your mastery of pattern making, fit technology, and specification in categories such as cut & sew, knits, wovens and RTW.
Ability to articulate technical needs effectively to overseas partners is vital in maintaining seamless collaboration.
Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
