Tool Designer

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop precision tooling for aerospace applications, including BoxJoint, gears, linear slides, and other complex mechanical systems.
- Utilize OnShape to create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings, ensuring manufacturability and adherence to design specifications.
- Apply expert-level knowledge of GD&T to ensure proper fits, tolerances, and tooling locators in all designs.
- Conduct thorough inspections and validations of tooling designs to maintain high standards of quality and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements in tooling processes and designs.
- Train and mentor team members in OnShape software, sharing best practices and techniques for efficient design.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in tooling design within the aerospace industry.
- Proficiency in OnShape; ability to teach and support others in the software.
- Strong understanding of Solid Mechanical Engineering principles, including BoxJoint, gears, and linear slides.
- Expert knowledge of GD&T, with a focus on precise tooling locators and 2D drawing capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a commitment to producing high-quality, manufacturable designs.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Catia experience

Pay Details: $85,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
