📦 Inventory Specialist – Warehouse Operations
Location: Selkirk, NY
Pay: $23/hour
Shift: Typically 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, but must be flexible as the facility operates 24/7
Schedule: Monday to Friday (with potential weekend or overnight shifts as needed)
Assignment Type: Temp – 12-month contract
Start Date: July 11, 2025
Adecco Staffing is hiring for an Inventory Specialist to work in a fast-paced warehouse and shop environment in Selkirk, NY. This position is responsible for managing and tracking materials used in locomotive maintenance and repair. No prior experience required – great for someone with 0–3 years of warehouse or inventory background!
🛠️ Job Duties Include:
Pull and issue materials for shop use and track inventory usage
Conduct daily cycle counts and manage inventory accuracy
Track stockouts and restock parts efficiently
Arrange shipping and process all required documents (LTL, hazmat, customs, BOLs)
Use computer systems (Oracle, Ryder Portal) to manage material flow
Read mechanical drawings to determine needed parts
Operate a forklift (training provided)
Handle warranty claims and repair cycle materials
Maintain clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
Communicate with internal teams to fulfill urgent material requests
Assist with physical inventory counts and general warehouse tasks

Able to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods
Comfortable wearing full PPE (hard hat, steel-toe boots, ear/eye protection)
Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
Ability to lift and move materials
Willingness to work flexible or overnight shifts when needed

Pay Details: $15.50 per hour
