Commercial Vehicle Equipment Technician – Upfitting & Installation
A well-established commercial vehicle upfitting company is seeking a skilled and motivated Technician to assist with equipment installation, modifications, and upfitting on light and heavy-duty vehicles. Mechanical aptitude is required, and relevant experience is a plus—training is provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
Perform assigned repairs and installations according to manufacturer standards, OEM guidelines, and company procedures
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues
Maintain a working knowledge of upfitting and repair techniques
Safely move vehicles and equipment around shop and lot
Properly maintain tools and service equipment
Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Read and interpret installation and work instructions
Install a wide variety of equipment and bodies including:
Bodies – Dump, Service, Platforms, Crane, and Specialty Units
Equipment – Van shelving, ladder racks, toolboxes, LED lighting, hitches, snowplows & spreaders, lift gates, and more
Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors
Produce high-quality work with strong attention to detail
Other duties as assigned
Working Conditions:
Exposure to machinery and moving parts
Working around moving vehicles
Shop environment subject to seasonal temperature changes
High noise levels

Qualifications:
Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools
Ability to read and follow written instructions and measurements
High school diploma or GED
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Able to work in a physically demanding shop environment (standing, kneeling, bending)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality

Pay Details: $21.00 to $28.00 per week
