Adecco is hiring immediately for an Electrical Firmware Engineer Senior with a local client in Rochester, NY. Electrical Firmware Engineer Seniors perform essential duties with pay from $90.00/hr - $113.00/hour, plus overtime. ~ 80% onsite, ~20% remote.
Responsibilities:
Development of real-time algorithms in embedded systems
Meet with project stake holders on a regular basis to understand technical issues and develop solutions
Generate necessary/related documentation for product release
Proficient in development of product test specifications (production environment)
Develop embedded C/ C++ and Python source code on microcontrollers, including interfaces to external systems
Develop on tool chains including but not limited to GCC, Vitis, Vivado
Experience developing on embedded Linux OS and FreeRTOS OS
Using common debugging tools to troubleshoot embedded code and implement corrections
Proficient in using version control systems (e.g. Git), and Atlassian tools
Troubleshoot prototype and production units at electromechanical systems level
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree Engineering
7+ years of experience with Engineering/Computer Engineering / Electronics / Electrical / Software / Instrumentation is desirable
5+ years in embedded software engineering, preference with servo and stepper motor-drive experience
Familiarity with RF principles and theories
Expertise developing test procedures to verify hardware & firmware designs
Experience in firmware design (embedded systems or motor driver development), board level design and bring-up
Prior experience of working in global teams and interfacing with multiple stake holders
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to interact with extended teams spread across the globe
Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus
