What You’ll Do:
As a Warehouse Associate, you will be essential in ensuring that freight is processed and delivered efficiently. You'll work closely with a dedicated management team that values expertise in the transportation industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping and Receiving: Assist with unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, and matching purchase orders to sales orders. Distribute orders to sales associates for processing.
Order Management: Read and interpret customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, and shipped.
Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe and accessible warehouse environment for employees and customers by adhering to safety policies and procedures.
Inventory Control: Assemble products and participate in regular inventory counts as needed.
Driver Communication: Take calls from drivers to confirm timely deliveries, ensuring all load data is validated before marking loads as delivered for accounting purposes.
Delivery Monitoring: Monitor daily pickups and deliveries, ensuring that loads arrive on time and in good condition.
What You Bring:
Previous dock or warehouse experience in the transportation industry.
Experience in loading and unloading trailers.
Familiarity with using handheld scanners.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 75 pounds.
Capability to load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
