The Shipper is responsible for picking, packing, and shipping domestic and international orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the shipping process. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to operate shipping and inventory systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pick items for sales orders and verify order accuracy before packaging.
- Select appropriate shipping containers and packaging materials.
- Redline unavailable items and complete shipments accordingly.
- Prepare and package orders for domestic and international shipping.
- Operate UPS Maxiship and Federal Express Powership computer systems.
- Weigh orders and determine shipping costs for delivery charges.
- Prepare international shipping documents as required.
- Maintain physical inventory by making additions and withdrawals.
- Operate hand carts, pallet jacks, and forklifts as needed.
- Cross-train in other warehouse functions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
- Minimum of one year of related experience (preferred).
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
- Basic mathematical skills, including working with American currency, weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- Experience using UPS Maxiship and Federal Express Powership computer systems.
- Knowledge of inventory control and storage practices.
Pay Details: $18.50 per hour
