Adecco is assisting their client in hiring Waste Water Operators for direct hire roles in Georgia, VT. There are openings for both full-time and part-time positions. Pay range of $25 – $30 per hour!
Schedule:
- Weekend Days: Saturday & Sunday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm
- Days: Monday – Friday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, with on-call responsibility for one weekend per month (short term)
Scope of the Role:
- Operate and maintain the wastewater treatment facility to meet all regulatory and corporate requirements.
- Monitor and interpret process indicators, communicating with supervisors or management as necessary.
- Conduct daily laboratory testing and maintain instruments.
- Repair and maintain all equipment at the wastewater treatment facility.
- Collect wastewater samples and measure parameters such as pH, conductivity, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, and temperature.
- Operate equipment including pumps, blowers, mixers, and aerators to regulate water treatment processes.
- Make process adjustments to ensure final discharge limitations are met by following instructions, lab results, and visual inspections.
- Communicate regularly with WWTP and production supervision regarding process changes or equipment issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance, diagnose, and repair mechanical equipment, including welding and rebuilding as needed.
- Maintain the buildings and grounds of the treatment facility.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- A two-year degree or equivalent experience in facility maintenance or wastewater treatment operations may be considered as a substitute.
- Vermont Pollution Abatement Facility Operator License required, minimum Grade 1 ID.
- Strong mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Ability to be trained in WWTP laboratory analysis and interpretation of results.
